Twas the last match before Christmas...

It was a tense, fraught stand-off, on the one hand, the volatile Gary Arthurs slightly inebriated...squaring up to the one armed bandit whose blood was running high following an evening with an OAP...who would win at cribbage? Other contests of the day included the discus in the Jubraj, won comprehensively with a poppadom by Bess and the oldest legend, well a winner was decided but then they all seemed to forget who that was.

There was of course the Legends V Leighton Buzzard in the day, a surprisingly festive affair where gifts were exchanged in the form of a goal a piece, whilst goodwill to all men (and umpires) was also in abundance. Banking Legend Nick was the man of the match, well played that lad!

It was a top night, enjoyed by all - thanks to the skipper for organising it. It was worth all those inflated match fees.

Happy Christmas to all the Legends, see you next year for our annual fight to avoid relegation!
